I was 49 years old when I took the New Riders Course offered by the SSMR, and except for 2 scary passenger experiences in my teens, had never sat on nor ridden a motocycle. After the 2 classroom sessions and 1 ½ days of parking lot exercices, Bruce had me touring safely (and happily) through Enderby, Armstrong and Salmon Arm. An unexpected bonus was the realization that, despite 30 years of accident-free driving, some of my defensive driving was a bit lax. Thanks to the course, I am now an all round better driver.

I always wanted to get my bike license so before I bought a bike I went to the Shuswap School of Motorcycle Riding and completed my class 6 License. I am so thankful I did. It gave me the knowledge of what to in emergency situations that could mean the difference between life & death.
I am so happy with Bruce & his training. My advice is use your common sense, not your pride. Contact the Shuswap School of Motorcycle Riding. It will be the best thing you could ever do for yourself. Thank you Bruce, I'm one happy chick MLD |

I was 55 when I registered for my safety course with Bruce and had a 40 year old dream of owning a motorcycle. The first day I was apprehensive and overwhelmed by what I was expected to accomplish. Bruce's relentless and repetitive instruction didn't end until I mastered each maneuver perfectly. Four days after I completed my safety course I passed my motorcycle skills test. Without Bruce's encouragement, tremendous knowledge and his obvious love of the sport I know I wouldn't have achieved a near perfect score when I passed my Class 6 Thanks Bruce Brian
